Description
AMD processors can receive microcode updates during boot to correct CPU behavior below the operating-system level. These updates are important for stability, hardware errata fixes, and sometimes security mitigations.
Most AMD systems should keep microcode installed through the distribution. It does not provide an app to open; the boot process loads it before normal user sessions start.
