Hardware audio routing becomes more accurate through ALSA Use Case Manager profiles and topology data. It is useful for systems that need current upstream audio configuration for laptops, phones, or embedded boards.
This is low-level audio configuration, not a mixer app. Git configuration can change behavior, so keep a recovery path if device audio is critical.
