Arch Linux update availability can be checked with a small lightweight notifier. It is useful for users who want a minimal reminder that package updates are available without opening a full package manager.
Update notifiers only report availability; they do not replace reviewing package changes and upgrade prompts. The git build may change more often than stable releases.
