Description
Network reachability can be measured in both directions between two hosts. It is useful when ordinary ping is not enough to understand asymmetric latency, packet loss, or path behavior.
Network diagnostic tools may need firewall rules or cooperation from the remote side. They do not fix the connection by themselves; they help identify where a problem may be.
